Relax on our stately outdoor grounds

Grand gardens and private nooks bloom all year.

A bed and breakfast is just the beginning. During your visit to the Statesboro Inn, we hope you take time to experience the beauty of our various annual and perennial gardens that stand among the most charming in Statesboro and Georgia. Each is landscaped to provide a relaxing backdrop for any occasion in any season. A variety of plants bloom most of the year - from the pansies and daffodils of springtime through to hollies, pachysandra and paper whites for the Holidays.

Main House Gardens and Patio

The stately garden at the rear entrance to the Inn, which has been the site of many small weddings, is complimented with a water feature assembled from an old iron syrup boiler and a antique copper hand pump. Perennials here are regularly supplemented with brightly colored seasonal annuals.

Adjacent to the rear garden is our patio, scattered with ice cream shop tables, an umbrella table and a variety of giant hibiscus, azaleas, oleander, hollies and crepe myrtles. Relax with our fluffy cat, who likes to entertain here while guests enjoy a steamy cup of morning coffee or a refreshing glass of iced tea.

Brannen House Gardens

Adjacent to the Brannen House, under the shade of a large magnolia and a graceful dogwood, lies a large tranquility pond that is home to both goldfish and koi. A winding pathway of slate flagstone leads to sitting areas for quiet relaxation and contemplation.

The enclosed yard beside the Brannen House is only three years old. We've worked diligently to enhance the quality of its soil to support a variety of bushes and perennials. Each year is more beautiful than the last, and we continually search out foliage varieties to provide a continuous array of color.

Herb Garden

Our newest garden is our herb garden, which we hope over time will be the major supplier of seasoning in our food. We’re off to a good start, and it gives us a great feeling to produce our own fresh products to use in our Kitchen.
