“Blind Willie” McTell Trail
The McTell Trail is a quaint, one-mile pathway connecting downtown Statesboro to the campus of Georgia Southern University. The trail begins at Fair Road’s Memorial Park and ends at Triangle Park in the heart of beautiful Downtown Statesboro. Bike racks, picnic tables, landscaped islands and raised pedestrian crosswalks.

Georgia Southern Botanical Garden
Centered on an early 20th century farmstead, the Georgia Southern Botanical Garden offers visitors a unique view of the cultural and natural heritage of the southeastern coastal plain and its unique and endangered plants. The 11-acre site in the heart of Statesboro includes Walking Woodland Trails, Bland Cottage Visitor Center and Gift Shop, Heritage Garden with Rose Arbor, Children's Vegetable Garden, Camellia Garden, Native Plant Landscape Garden, Native Azalea Collection and Bog Garden. 912-871-1149

Georgia Southern University Wildlife Education Center and the Lamar Q Ball, Jr. Raptor Center
Watch the eagles take flight, touch our lime-green friend, Monty the Python, or explore the different habitats of raptors, reptiles and mammals at the Center for Wildlife Education and the Lamar Q Ball Jr. Raptor Center. More than five acres feature diverse habitats and species of birds of prey, reptile and amphibian exhibits, self-guided nature walks, a children’s discovery trail and a new 12-acre Wetland preserve. 912-478-0831

Mill Creek Regional Park
Mill Creek Regional Park is a state-of-the-art park that not includes 155 acres of greenspace, a water park, two playgrounds, seven soccer/football fields, 15 baseball diamonds, a 1.25-mile walking trail, nine picnic pavilions and a lake. 912-764-5637

Splash in the Boro Family Waterpark

Averitt Center for the Arts
The Averitt Center for the Arts performers stay at the Statesboro Inn. The center first opened its doors in September 2004 and grew to become a major arts hub in Southeast Georgia. A new visual arts exhibit each month in the Main Gallery complement numerous exhibits in the Legends Gallery, Youth Gallery and Multi Purpose Studio. For performing arts, the Center offers the Emma Kelly Theater for dance, concerts, drama, comedy, or musicals during Performance Season.
